So it’s been a while since I’ve done a Top Ten Tuesday, as hosted by the Broke and Bookish but this is something I really enjoy doing, so I wanted to jump back on the train. Here’s the top ten books I wouldn’t mind Santa dropping in my stocking this Christmas.
One week of actually being on time with TTT is pretty good right? Oh well, this Wednesday the Broke and Bookish made the Top Ten Tuesday list Top Ten Books I’m Not Sure I Want to Read. I go through this kind of thing a lot in book stores, sitting there staring at the title/blurb and wondering for hours if this is the one I want to read. Okay, maybe not hours but still a long time.
It’s actually Tuesday! Yay for being on time for the first time ever! Today’s Top Ten Tuesday brought to you by the Broke and Bookish, is Top Ten Books I’d Give to Readers Who Have Never Read X. Now the X gives me a lot of wiggle room to decide. I debated going with Top Ten Books I’d give to adults who think YA is beneath them, but then I remembered I already did a whole post about that once and if you want to see the books I recommend you can read it here. So I decided instead to go with my new favourite sub-genre which is the Dystopian.
I’m thinking I’m going to have to change the name of this to Top Ten Wednesday if I can’t ever get it written in time for Tuesday. I like to sometimes tell myself that it’s still Tuesday in other time zones and I don’t look so late.
Anyway, this week’s Top Ten Tuesday list, as provided by the Broke and Bookish is Top Ten Favourite Movies or TV Shows. Now I can’t possibly narrow my list of favourite movies down to ten, and I don’t really feel like picking a genre, so I’m just going to go with TV shows. It’s still pretty hard though. I have a number of serious television show addictions.
So it’s Wednesday again. This time I have an excuse though, yesterday was Canada day and (since that’s where I live) there was no work and there were fun things going on. So I’m just going to write this today.
This week, the Broke and Bookish‘s Top Ten list is Top Ten Classics. Now, I’m not a huge reader of classics but there are a lot of Young Adult/Juvenile Classics that I love, so my list will likely be largely populated with those.
Today’s (Okay it’s Wednesday. This writing on Monday and posting on Tuesday isn’t working out as well as I’d hoped) Top Ten Tuesday hosted by The Broke and Bookish is Top Ten Books on my summer To Be Read list. I have like 20 books on that list, so this a narrowing. Here are the 5 first or stand-alone books I want to read this summer as well as 5 sequels I am waiting for.
Okay so it’s Thursday. Don’t judge me. I’m going to get this out anyway cause I like this one. Today’s (or two days ago’s) Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by the Broke and Bookish, is Top Ten Books I’ve Read so far This Year. Or, in my case the only books I’ve read so far this year since university was long and required lots of reading of it’s own so I didn’t get time to read for fun. I might have read more than this but here’s the books I remember reading and what I think.
I’m a big fan of the Top Ten Tuesday book posts as created by The Broke and Bookish. They’re a wonderful blog that comes out with a top ten list every Tuesday for other book bloggers to create. It’s pretty amazing how many bloggers they get making a top ten list from their category every Tuesday.
Now unfortunately, I’m not at the library to write on Tuesdays but fortunately, the Broke and Bookish post their categories beforehand so I can write the posts on Mondays and then just go on and publish the draft on Tuesday morning. But don’t be surprised if I occasionally forget and it comes out on a Wednesday (for example this week).
Now time for a list of the Top Ten Books that Should be in Your Beach Bag. A.K.A summer reading books.
